Pilotfish, Naucrates ductor, VT2871

Unmounted taxidermied skin of a Pilot fish. The PL side is preserved as natural with a painted surface giving a lifelike appearance. The PR side has an incision along the midline closed by stitches, with a piece of adhesive cloth tape covering them. There are three metal wire hooks protruding from the PR side for attachment to a wall or display case.
