Slender stargazer, Crapatalus novaezealandiae, VT2855
Physical Description
Stuffed skin of a stargazer fish, with the body straight and the fins fully extended. The PR side is tidy for display, while the PL side shows a seam along the midline of the body from taxidermy. It does not have attachment points for display. The surface of the skin has been treated, possibly with varnish, giving the whole skin a yellowed appearance.
