Wonder Cowrie, Cypraea armeniaca hesitata, IV43327

Physical Description

Large bulbous cowrie shell with a shiny outer surface. The ends of the mouth are significantly twisted upwards and to one side. Pattern is pale brown with slightly darker smudgy looking speckled pattern. There are slightly raised sections overlaid on the dorsal surface, with dark margins. Ventral surface is cream coloured with a pale brown area at the mouth.
