Arabic Volute, Alcithoe arabica, IV43277

Physical Description

Small sized volute shell with sharp protrusions on the shoulder, steep spire, and wide mouth. The surface is mostly creamy pink coloured, with bands of dark brown zigzag patterns. The shoulder has some black staining, probably from iron-rich sand.
