Sword, Scabbard, F91.9

Long sword - katana. Hilt with rayskin wrapped with grey-black fabric tapic. Menuki in copper (?) and gold with design of shishi (?) on one side and an unknown design on the other. Kashira of copper with a simple floral design - fuchi plain and of copper. Round iron tsuba with single opening for kozuka or kogai. Tsuba has a simple star design in pierced work in one quadrant as only decoration. Scabbard in good condition - very plain wrapped in black leather with a metal toe cap and a copper kurikata mounted in another metal band near mouth of scabbard. No cord present or slots for kogai or kozuka.
