Glazed ceramic of a figure of man sitting on rock, wearing white robes. Rock is mottled in colour, with light green, light blue and brown. Man has exposed stomach and chest. Is holding white book in right hand, with cover folded back. Left foot on ledge. Cane basket/vase next to right knee. Maker's mark underneath. Hollow.
