Physical Description
Small Martinware salt glazed vase. Martinware specialised in salt glaze stoneware and were particularly well known for their vessels decorated with sea creatures - this appears to be an example. The vase grey/blue in colour and has an incised surface. It is decorated with large and small images of fish.
The bottom of the vase is marked with the numbers 4-1913" and the words "Martin...(unable to read) London & (unable to be read)".
