Physical Description
Slightly curved, fluted, double-edged blade. Very wide at hilt. Circle fretted from one side. Long, notched, worn gilt languet. Hilt symmetrical, four beaked spheres, one each at ends of hand-guard, similar construction at pommel end, acorn-shaped projection opposite languet. Handle widens in centre. Carved, worn gilt. Hilt riveted to blade. Dark red leather scabbard, wide at hilt end. Iron chape, two fretted crowns (?) topped by fleur-de-lis (?). Sword iron.
