Physical Description
Madu' or parrying shield. Parrying and thrusting weapon, pair of black buck horns fastened together, points in opposite directions. Horns overlap, gap between for hand. Mounted brass ends, brass tips and square-section steel tips. Mounted to small brass-covered iron shield, decorated: four raised hemispheres, surrounded by many-pointed stars. Two raised knobs; moon-shape. c.f. Egerton, pg. 133, Nos. 690-4.
