Shaft Graves, Grave V, 16th century BC

Research Notes

Gold-coloured cup with two handles attached to stand. On each handle there is an embossed, moulded dove. Known as the "Dove Cup" or "Cup of Nestor" (electrotype replica of gold original). Found with “The Mask of Agamemnon”. Shaft Grave V, Mycenae. Middle Minoan/Helladic period. —Dr Daniel Osland
