Lamp, Oil, E45.4

Mouldmade, circular lamp, Loeschcke Type VIII. Flat-topped, rounded nozzle with slight point at tip; cf. Cnidus nozzle form Cn.E1/G. Volutes on shoulder near nozzle. Wide shoulder with small double axe heads on either side. Plain, concave discus within raised rim; central filling hole. Wide double base ring.
Light brown fabric 7.5YR 6/3; very dark grey slip 7.5YR 3/1.
Body cracked at junction of moulds, chip missing here and on shoulder at left.
