Physical Description
A wooden tray with the base formed of imitation tukutuku panel used as interim decoration of Mataatua meeting house.
Three routed sections of wood (185mm + 130mm + 110mm) grooves at c 18mm centres, to create horizontal strip effect; and nailed to a box framework. Triangular corner wood pieces nailed on top of corners. Strips are painted black or red, with yellow, grey or black crosses in patterns on them, representing the kiekie strips.
