Mere pounamu, kawakawa variety, spatular in section, butt at proximal end has five shallow cross markings each side. Slightly off centre perforation fairly straight sided although flaired out at perforation surface on both sides. Butt narrows to wide neck to defined shoulders, flaring out to wide flat blade, two shallow chips one side of blade near distal end. Fracture running both sides from just off mid point distal end to approx. one third way down blade
