Figure, D88.229

Carved wooden figure, roughly chiselled. Soft, light wood, pale colouring. Flat base, solid, short limbs. Arms attached to top of legs. Thick neck, large head with a triangular hat. Protruding eyes. Figure has same carving style as D88.228, as though carved same carver. General appearance is as figure little handled and in good condition.

Figures similar to this are carved by many groups for various reasons, e.g.1) play dolls, 2) representative of a twin child who has died,etc. It is unclear as to the specific 'purpose' of this figure.
