Harpoon, D88.118
Physical Description
Harpoon with leaf shaped head, which has two protrusions facing downwards at bottom of head. Neck of blade then splits into three sections, which appear to have been twisted to form coils. End of neck is then attached to wooden shaft by a thick segment of textile. Below textile, shaft of harpoon is covered with gold coloured non-ferrous metal, some of which has been damaged. This metal is coiled around the shaft, until the very end, where a flattened metal attachment has been added. There are incised markings toward the very end of the spear.
