Pendant, D40.54

Nephrite/pounamu. Black and mid-green colour,medium transparency, kawakawa variety. Elongated and shaped to a point at distal end. Black at top & point - burnt. Cutting marks left side. Top tapers with perforation drilled from both sides but broken out. Edge rounded and left side wider than right at midpoint. Cross-section of pendant is roughly circular towards lower end, more triangular in middle, and quadrangular towards top.
