Plain gilded tsuba (copper?), pierced for kogai and kozuka; one opening has been plugged. Scabbard wrapped in brocade which was probably same colour as hilt, but is now almost black, with design of clouds and medallions (?). Gilded fittings - kurikata, semegane and ishizuki. While the sword is a katana (thrust through sash), some of the fittings are typical of those that appear on the scabbards of tachi (swords hung from a belt). Haimon is clear and consists of a regular curing line (gonome).
