Australasian pied stilt, Himantopus leucocephalus, AV6667
Physical Description
Study skin of a stilt with its body in a straight line with the head and legs. Wings are folded back against the body, and the head is tilted so that the beak is pointing forward. Has a length of wooden skewer protruding from the abdomen in line with the legs.
