Common crane, Grus grus, AV1213

Tall long-legged bird, mounted in an upright flat-footed walking position on a wooden base. Wings are folded back against its body and head is facing forward. Head is tilted so that beak is pointing up, and neck is in an elongated S-curve. Has a dent in the shape of the back of its head where the red feathers start.
