"The Buff Weka are from the breeding programme where the birds started breeding on Te Peka Karara and then were translocated to Mou Waho (Lake Wanaka) and Wawahi-Waka and Matau (Lake Wakatipu)." Kerie Uren DOC correspondence to Emma Burns 27/2/2013
