Provenance
The item was gifted to Mary Duffy in 1973 by Mrs Cuthbertson, who is thought to have brought the item with her when she emigrated from England to New Zealand. Mrs Cuthbertson owned a grocery store in St Kilda, and her daughter was Doris Miller, former Mayor of Tawa. It was through Doris that Mary met Mrs Cuthbertson.
Field Collection
Place of collection unknown. Donor Mary Duffy assumes it was brought over from England by its original owner, Mrs Cuthbertson. The birds are Northern Hemisphere species, which supports this assumption. (taken from ACQ130018)Measurements
