Chatham Island fernbird, Bowdleria rufescens, AV11251
Physical Description
Two birds mounted on one wooden base. This specimen is the female, mounted in a standing position with the body leaning forward so that it is almost horizontal but with the head tilted up so that the beak is pointing up at about a 45 degree angle. Wings are folded back against its body and the head is turned slightly toward its PL side.
