Museum visitors and photography fans have had their say, submitting 3,038 total votes for this year’s Otago Wildlife Photography Competition’s People’s Choice Award across all competition entries. The 2017 entrant with the most ‘People’s Choice’ votes is Guinevere Wilson with an image titled ‘Pippa’.
The popular snap was entered into one of the two new photography categories launched for this year’s competition – the Pets category for photographers 14 years and under. The other new category was Night Skies, open to both 14 years and under and 15 years and over age groups.
As the ‘People’s Choice’ winner, Guinevere will receive a canvas print of ‘Pippa’ along with a voucher kindly provided by competition sponsor Jonathan’s Photo Warehouse.
The 2017 Otago Wildlife Photography Exhibition is on display in the Museum’s Special Exhibitions Gallery until 5pm this Sunday 23 July.
